【摘要】:Thistestmethodprovidesaproceduretoestimatethepotentialstrengthofaparticulartestspecimenbaseduponitsmeasuredstrengthatanageasearlyas24h.5Theearly-agetestresultsprovideinformationonthevariabilityoftheconcreteproductionprocessforuseinprocesscontrol.Therelationshipbetweenearly-agestrengthoftestspecimensandstrengthachievedatsomelaterageunderstandardcuringdependsuponthematerialscomprisingtheconcrete.Inthistestmethod,itisassumedthatthereisalinearrelationshipbetweenstrengthandthelogarithmofthematurityindex.Experiencehasshownthatthisisanacceptableapproximationfortestagesbetween24hand28daysunderstandardcuringconditions.Theuserofthistestmethodshallverifythatthetestdatausedtodevelopthepredictionequationarerepresentedcorrectlybythelinearrelationship.Iftheunderlyingrelationshipbetweenstrengthandthelogarithmofthematurityindexcannotbeapproximatedbyastraightline,theprincipleofthistestmethodisapplicableprovidedanappropriateequationisusedtorepresentthenon-linearrelationship.Strengthprojectionsarelimitedtoconcretesusingthesamematerialsandproportionsastheconcreteusedtoestablishthepredictionequation.Note18212;Confidenceintervalsdevelopedinaccordancewith10.2arehelpfulinevaluatingprojectedstrengths.Thistestmethodisnotintendedforestimatingthein-placestrengthofconcrete.PracticeC1074providesproceduresforusingthemeasuredin-placematurityindextoestimatein-placestrength.1.1Thistestmethodcoversaprocedureformakingandcuringconcretespecimensandfortestingthematanearlyage.Thespecimensarestoredunderstandard-curingconditionsandthemeasuredtemperaturehistoryisusedtocomputeamaturityindexthatisrelatedtostrengthgain.1.2Thistestmethodalsocoversaprocedureforusingtheresultsofearly-agecompressive-strengthteststoprojectthepotentialstrengthofconcreteatlaterages.1.3ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.1.4Thetextofthisstandardreferencesnotesandfootnoteswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthestandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
