【摘要】:Soundingtubesmaybefabricatedfrom1x00BD;NPSorlarger.Onlywhenotherwisespecified,Schedule40components,manufacturedfromthelistofmaterialindicatedinPracticeF1155andSpecificationA53/A53M,GradeSorGradeERW.Inaddition,soundingtubesmaybefabricatedinstainlesssteelforstainlesssteeltanks.Soundingtubespassingthroughorterminatinginfueltanks,potablewatertanks,orcleansaltwaterballasttanksshouldbeconstructedof70-30coppernickel,butothersuitablematerialisacceptable.StrikerplatesshallbefabricatedinaccordancewithSpecificationA36/A36M.ThefittingsshallbedesignedinaccordancewithANSIB16.5,ANSIB16.9,ANSIB16.28,orANSIB16.11asapplicable(SeeTable21inPracticeF1155),andtheinstallationshallbeinaccordancewithANSIB31.1asmodifiedbySpecificationF722.Thesestandardscoverthefittingtolerances.Somecargomayprecludetheuseofmaterialsspecifiedinthisguide.However,configurationexamplesareapplicableforallapplications.1.1Thisguidecoversdesignandconstructioncriteriaforstrikerplatesandsoundingtubes,excludingdeckpenetrationsandcaps,forusewithsoundingrodsortapesinfreshwater,saltwater,andoiltanks.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.TheSIunitsgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.

【摘要】:TestMethodsA,B,andCprovideameansofevaluatingthetensilemodulusofgeogridsandgeotextilesforapplicationsinvolvingsmall-straincyclicloading.Thetestmethodsallowforthedeterminationofcyclictensilemodulusatdifferentlevelsofprescribedorpermanentstrain,therebyaccountingforpossiblechangesincyclictensilemoduluswithincreasingpermanentstraininthematerial.Thesetestmethodsshallbeusedforresearchtestingandtodefinepropertiesforuseinspecificdesignmethods.Incasesofdisputearisingfromdifferencesinreportedtestresultswhenusingthesetestmethodsforacceptancetestingofcommercialshipments,thepurchaserandsuppliershouldconductcomparativeteststodetermineifthereisastatisticalbiasbetweentheirlaboratories.Competentstatisticalassistanceisrecommendedfortheinvestigationofbias.Asaminimum,thetwopartiesshouldtakeagroupoftestspecimenswhichareashomogeneousaspossibleandwhicharefromalotofmaterialofthetypeinquestion.Thetestspecimensshouldthenberandomlyassignedinequalnumberstoeachlaboratoryfortesting.TheaverageresultsfromthetwolaboratoriesshouldbecomparedusingStudentx2019;st-testforunpaireddataandanacceptableprobabilitylevelchosenbythetwopartiesbeforethetestingbegan.Ifabiasisfound,eitheritscauseshallbefoundandcorrectedorthepurchaserandsuppliershallagreetointerpretfuturetestresultsinlightoftheknownbias.AllgeogridscanbetestedbyTestMethodsAorB.Somemodificationoftechniquesmaybenecessaryforagivengeogriddependinguponitsphysicalmake-up.Specialadaptationsmaybenecessarywithstronggeogrids,multiplelayeredgeogrids,orgeogridsthattendtoslipintheclampsorthosewhichtendtobedamagedbytheclamps.MostgeotextilescanbetestedbyTestMethodC.Somemodificationofclampingtechniquesmaybenecessaryforagivengeotextiledependinguponitsstructure.Specialclampingadaptationsmaybenecessarywithstronggeotextilesorgeotextilesmadefromglassfiberstopreventthemfromslippingintheclampsorbeingdamagedasaresultofbeinggrippedintheclamps.Thesetestmethodsareapplicablefortestinggeotextileseitherdryorwet.Itisusedwithaconstantrateofextensiontypetensionapparatus.Thesetestmethodsmaynotbesuitedforgeogridsandgeotextilesthatexhibitstrengthsapproximately100kN/m(600lbf/in.)duetoclampingandequipmentlimitations.Inthosecases,100mm(4in.)widthspecimensmaybesubstitutedfor200mm(8in.)widthspecimens.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverthedeterminationofsmall-straintensilepropertiesofgeogridsandgeotextilesbysubjectingwide-widthspecimenstocyclictensileloading.1.2Thesetestmethods(A,B,andC)allowforthedeterminationofsmall-straincyclictensilemodulusbythemeasurementofcyclictensileloadandelongation.1.3Thistestmethodisintendedtoprovidepropertiesfordesign.Thetestmethodwasdevelopedformechanistic-empiricalpavementdesignmethodsrequiringinputofthereinforcementtensilemodulus.Theuseofcyclicmodulusfromthistestmethodforotherapplicationsinvolvingcyclicloadingshouldbeevaluatedonacase-by-casebasis.1.4Threetestmethods(A,B,andC)areprovidedtodeterminesmall-straincyclictensilemodulusongeogridsandgeotextiles.1.4.1TestMethodA8212;TestingarelativelywidespecimenofgeogridincyclictensioninkN/m(lbf/ft).1.4.2TestMethodB8212;TestingmultiplelayersofarelativelywidespecimenofgeogridincyclictensioninkN/m(lbf/ft).1.4.3TestMethodC......
