【摘要】:1.1Thispracticeprovidesgeneralprocedurestobeusedwhenexposingnonmetallicmaterialsinacceleratedtestdevicesthatuselaboratorylightsources.Detailedinformationregardingprocedurestobeusedforspecificdevicesarefoundinstandardsdescribingtheparticulardevicebeingused.Forexample,detailedinformationcoveringexposuresindevicesthatuseopenflamecarbonarc,enclosedcarbonarc,xenonarcandfluorescentUVlightsourcearefoundinPracticesG152,G153,andG154,andG154respectively.Note18212;Carbon-arc,xenonarc,andfluorescentUVexposureswerealsodescribedinPractices23,G26,andG53whichreferredtoveryspecificequipmentdesigns.PracticesG152,G153,andG154,andG155areperformancebasedstandardsthatreplacePracticesG23,G26,andG53.1.2Thispracticealsodescribesgeneralperformancerequirementsfordevicesusedforexposingnonmetallicmaterialstolaboratorylightsources.Thisinformationisintendedprimarilyforproducersoflaboratoryacceleratedexposuredevices.1.3Thispracticeprovidesinformationontheuseandinterpretationofdatafromacceleratedexposuretests.Specificinformationaboutmethodsfordeterminingthepropertyofanonmetallicmaterialbeforeandafterexposurearefoundinstandardsdescribingthemethodusedtomeasureeachproperty.InformationregardingthereportingofresultsfromexposuretestingofplasticmaterialsisdescribedinPracticeD5870.Note28212;GuideG141providesinformationforaddressingvariabilityinexposuretestingofnonmetallicmaterials.GuideG169providesinformationforapplicationofstatisticstoexposuretestresultsNote38212;ThisstandardistechnicallyequivalenttoISO4892,Part1.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
